This exciting two-day course tracks the ancient Spice Trade of Arabia, the Far East and India and how the trade and spices were discovered in and came to Africa and the historical and cultural influencers behind some of Africa’s most popular dishes.

In this course, explore the history of trades such as the ‘cinnamon route’ and ‘clove route’ and their influence on the dishes of the East coast of Africa, and the discovery of various spices across the continent.
